A seasoned and generally well regarded leader in a large healthcare organization had a reputation for flawless execution and deep expertise. When she was promoted into a broader leadership role and found herself accountable to get a great deal of work done informally through others, she struggled. Given her interest to improve and the organization's view of her long term potential, she inquired about an executive coach to help her before things went awry in what was a critical and highly visible role.
